High Power LEDs

Used primarily for outdoor and industrial lighting, high power LEDs are all about efficiency and lowering forward voltage (Vf)  to achieve a higher lumen/watt. LUXEON high power LEDs are the flagship of the industry and lead the pack in efficiency, helping customers keep their material costs in check and giving manufacturers a broad selection of high-performance LEDs.

LUXEON 5050 is a multi-die, high power package that provides high luminance from a single package to enable cost effective, single optic and directional fixture designs. LUXEON 5050 uses an industry standard 5050 surface mount package with the smallest round Light Emitting Surface (LES). LUXEON 5050 comes in 70CRI, 80CRI and 90CRI with a wide range of CCTs, and offers hot-color targeting to ensure that the LEDs are within color target at application conditions of 85°C.

LUXEON FlipChip White enables the next generation of lighting applications. Lumileds industry-leading line of Chip Scale Package (CSP) LEDs gives customers complete design flexibility. LUXEON FlipChip White includes the highest flux-density chip scale package, maximizing beam control and enabling high packing density on a PCB. Its wide viewing angle delivers increased uniformity and potential for system cost reductions in diffuse and omnidirectional lighting applications. With Freedom from Binning and leading performance, LUXEON M falls within a single 3- or 5-step MacAdam ellipse centered in ANSI to ensure color consistency from LED to LED, delivering high efficacy and high flux density from a uniform source with tight correlated color temperature control. LUXEON MZ

LUXEON MZ is an illumination grade multi-die LED designed to enable outdoor and industrial applications with all of the features of LUXEON M including the identical solder footprint, but allowing for tighter beam control and higher punch due to a smaller apparent source size. With Freedom from Binning and leading performance, LUXEON MZ falls within a single 3- or 5-step MacAdam ellipse centered in ANSI to ensure color consistency from LED to LED, delivering high efficacy and high flux density from a uniform source with tight correlated color temperature control. LUXEON N

LUXEON N is a high power LED in a 2.5mm x 2.5mm thermally optimized package that supports the highest drive current—up to 2A. This high current capability enables twice the flux in half the size compared to standard 3535 packages while achieving high efficacy. In addition to superior performance delivered over the widest operating range, LUXEON N is compatible with industry standard off-the-shelf optics, minimizing design efforts and costs. The thermally optimized package achieves the lowest thermal resistance at 2°C/W for high drive current system performance. These advantages provide total system design flexibility, making LUXEON N the ideal high power emitter choice for the next generation design of outdoor light sources.
